LPixel Presents at EDGE-NEXT Tokyo Symposium
LPixel Inc., a leader in image analysis and processing technology in life science and medical research, is pleased to announce that its members from the Medical Business Department, Hikari Oguma and Mariko Takahashi presented at this year’s Exploration and Development of Global Entrepreneurship for NEXT Generation (EDGE-NEXT) Tokyo Symposium 2018. Sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science in Technology (MEXT), this program aims to promote the start of new businesses and help Japanese university startups develop strategies to enter the US market. In August, participating teams took part in a comprehensive training program that took place in San Diego, California. During the symposium, held on March 14, 2019, Oguma and Takahashi gave a presentation on their accomplishments. Through this program, LPixel was able to conduct market research and engage with a potential joint research partner in the US.

Founded in March 2014, LPixel is a University of Tokyo spin-off that hones its expertise in life science image analysis. LPixel unifies artificial intelligence and its image analysis technologies to develop and provide advanced software for researchers and professionals in the life science industry, including the medical, pharmaceutical and agricultural sectors. LPixel is currently working in collaboration with the University of Tokyo, the National Cancer Center Japan and other research institutions to further the development of its AI-powered medical diagnosis technology.
